Shah Rukh Khan, the Bollywood king, is again at the top list of India’s highest celebrity taxpayers for the financial year 2024. The actor contributed ₹92 crore to the exchequer in taxes, something that most Bollywood stars, cine artists from the south, and sportspersons blush at. This vast amount puts him at the forefront of India’s highest-paid celebrities list.
Bollywood and South Indian Celebrity Dominate the List
The second celebrity on the list was Thalapathy Vijay, a South Indian superstar who contributed ₹80 crore towards taxes. Vijay’s contribution was even higher compared to at least several personalities in Bollywood and sports. The third was Salman Khan, who was not far behind, spending ₹75 crore.
A Bollywood actor with a long career, Amitabh Bachchan, took the fourth place, providing ₹71 crore in taxes. Indian cricketing icon Virat Kohli rounded up the list by bidding ₹66 crore and was also included in the list of highest-earning athletes in India.

The list also features several other high-profile names, including:
- Ajay Devgn: ₹ 42 crore
- MS Dhoni: ₹ 38 crore
- Ranbir Kapoor: ₹ 36 crore
- Bollywood: Hrithik Roshan—₹ 28 crore
- Cricket: Sachin Tendulkar, Rs 28 crore
Notable Taxpayers in Cinema and Sports
In addition to the above-discussed top-ranking stars, some others also contributed a lot. Kapil Sharma donated ₹ 26 crore, while film actors like Kareena Kapoor (20 crore), Shahid Kapoor, Mohanlal, and Allu Arjun donated ₹ 14 crore each. Others were Hardik Pandya at ₹13 crore, Kiara Advani at ₹12 crore, Pankaj Tripathi, and Katrina Kaif at ₹11 crore each.
