Fans of Aamir Khan and the 2007 classic Taare Zameen Par are in for a treat as the trailer for the highly anticipated Sitaare Zameen Par is set to debut next week.
The trailer, certified UA with a runtime of 3 minutes and 29 seconds, will be released online and will also be attached to screenings of Raid 2, hitting theaters on 1 May 2025.
A Sequel with a Fresh Take
Sitaare Zameen Par is not a direct continuation but rather a spiritual sequel to Taare Zameen Par, helmed by RS Prasanna and produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao.
The film, starring Genelia Deshmukh, is inspired by the 2018 Spanish film Champions and centers around a former alcoholic coach who trains a team of specially-abled children with dreams of reaching the Paralympics.
In an interview, Aamir Khan described the film as a humorous yet emotional take on disability. “This time, the challenged individuals are guiding my character,” he mentioned, adding that the film is “way ahead” of its predecessor.

Aamir Khan’s Grand Comeback
After taking a brief hiatus following his 2022 film Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan is all set for a grand return to the screen. Fans are eagerly anticipating this socially relevant project, and with the trailer arriving soon, expectations for the film are higher than ever.
Aamir Khan is also working on Lahore: 1947 with Sunny Deol, set for release later in 2025. Additionally, he has projects lined up with directors Rajkumar Santoshi and Lokesh Kanagaraj.
