Alia Bhatt’s Jigra shares screen space with Vedang Raina is picking up the pace at the box office. The movie, which Vasan Bala directs, received a good opening on the second day with a net collection of ₹ 6.58 crore. It is 44.61% higher than the first day’s net collection of ₹ 4.55 crore. Netting ₹11.13 crore by Saturday due to the Dussehra holiday, the first weekend collection is estimated to cross ₹20 crore.
Jigra explores sibling love as Alia portrays Satya, who struggles to bring her brother Ankur home from a foreign land allegedly held on drug charges. The movie is going on strong word of mouth and showing Housefull signs of those major cities of India.
Jigra is Alia Bhatt’s first theatrical venture under the banner of Eternal Sunshine Productions. Dharma Productions produced the film in collaboration with Viacom18 Studios. It was released on October 11th and still enjoys the attention of viewers because of the twisted plot.
