Chhaava has been one of the much-awaited films since its announcement. The historical action drama has been a hit, featuring Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale.

Chhaava had collected Rs 22 crores in its seventh day. Collections of the film went up after Chhatrapati Shivrajayanti but took a tad bit dip after that. This brought the film’s first-week earnings to Rs 219.75 crores.

At the box office, Chhaava is expected to witness a slight decline as the second week begins. On its eighth day (second Friday), the film is expected to rake in Rs 15-20 crores. With this, it will take the total collection towards the Rs 235 crores mark.

Vicky Kaushal on Playing Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj
Vicky Kaushal, who participated in a promotional event, said that he is excited to play the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
He also emphasized the importance of sharing the Maratha king’s story worldwide, stating, “Maharashtra ke bacche-bacchon ko pata hai, par poori duniya ke ghar-ghar tak yeh kahani pahunchaana zaroori hai.”
