Goa and Madhya Pradesh Declare "Chhaava" Movie Tax-Free

Announcing that the Hindi movie ‘Chhaava,’ based on the life of his forerunner Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, will be tax-free in the state, the Goa government said. On social media, Goa’s Chief Minister Pramod Sawant shared this news with an emphasis that the Maratha warrior’s sacrifice is an inspiration for all.

‘Chhaava’ is a historical film about Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and shows his bravery and sacrifice. In the movie, his courageous fight against Mughals and Portuguese to protect his kingdom is highlighted. 

The film stars Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, and Vicky Kaushal. Laxman Utekar directs the film, which is produced under Maddock Films by Dinesh Vijan.
