Chhaava makers unveiled a glimpse of Rashmika Mandanna’s powerful role from the historical action film a day before they unveiled their highly anticipated trailer. Rashmika will be seen doing the role of Maharani Yesubai, the wife of Maratha King Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, who Vicky Kaushal will play. Excitement among fans reigns high as the movie comes out on 14th February 2025.
Rashmika’s Look Maharani Yesubai: The Queen of Swarajya
The makers shared Rashmika’s first look from the film, introducing her as Maharani Yesubai, describing her as “the pride of Swarajya.” The striking posters have the actress looking regal, wearing a green saree with a yellow border, wearing heavy jewelry in them. One poster shows Rashmika grinning ear to ear as the Maharani, and another shows her wearing a pinched version of a determined expression.
Fans already praise her for the role and many of them are excited about her upcoming blockbuster. One fan wrote, “Another blockbuster for Rashmika on the way!” while another complimented her as “absolutely stunning” in her Yesubai avatar, describing her look as capturing the “essence of the historical character.”
Vicky Kaushal, Akshaye Khanna, and Chhaava’s Historical Setting
In the film, Vicky Kaushal plays the role of the brave Maratha King Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, based on the Marathi novel Chhaava by Shivaji Sawant. Laxman Utekar is directing, while Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films is producing.
The movie is star-studded and has a key role acted by Akshaye Khanna. Set to release in Indian theaters on 14th February 2025, fans can expect a gripping historical drama. Besides, YRF will release Chhaava to international markets in order to reach the global audiences.
