Singham Again is Ajay Devgn’s action-packed cop drama, while Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 stars Kartik Aaryan and is a horror comedy. Still, both films are heading for Rs 250 crore at the domestic box office. Last week, the two films on screen were virtually at par on the earnings front, with the overriding edge to Singham Again.
Singham Again received Rs 173 crore in the first week and Rs 47.5 crore in the second week. The film stayed strong by earning Rs 2.75 crore on its second Friday, bringing its domestic total to Rs 223.25 crore.
Concerning the general occupancy rate, the individual average occupancy rate for Hindi shows was 23.26 % on Friday, and the movie has the potential for similar success.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Follows Close Behind
Although Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 lagged behind Singham Again, it still had a good box office collection. It collected Rs 158.25 crore in the first week of its release and Rs 58 crore in the second week.
On its second Friday, it collected around Rs 4 crore, and its overall India total was Rs 220.25 crore. Slightly higher at 24.27% for the same day, the film’s performance is anticipated to sustain positively and may well touch the Rs 250 crore mark in the third weekend.
Kanguva Struggles at the Box Office
Kanguva, another recent film with Suriya, is another story that did not do well here, taking little demand at the box office. It mainly affects a film’s ability to appeal to the audience and gain their trust, and critics rated the film low due to a bad script, loud background scores, and over-the-top execution.
After two days of operation, Kanguva collected Rs 33 crore in India, significantly lower than that of the two big movies. The films Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 continue to gather great success while the film Kanguva lags.
