SRK’s Upcoming Projects: Action Takes Center Stage, Inshallah Not on the List

Rumours were swirling that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s most ambitious musical project, Baiju Bawra, was put on the back burner due to budget issues. It was suggested that the Rs. 350 crore budget was too steep for studios to invest in this film starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. Reports indicated that the studios Bhansali was negotiating with for this high-budget deal had turned down the film. However, these are all unfounded rumours.

Bhansali is Proceeding with Baiju Bawra Contrary to reports that Bhansali’s overtures to Jio Studios, RSVP, Applause, and Pen Studios were rejected, sources close to Bhansali have completely denied these rumours.

A source revealed, “The much-anticipated Baiju Bawra is very much in the works. The film is in the pre-production stage and is expected to start shooting in the second quarter of 2024. The budget and cast for the film are already in place. The rumours that the film has been shelved are completely baseless.”

The film, a musical drama, is based on the life of the legendary singer Baiju Bawra and will star Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles.

About Baiju Bawra Baiju Bawra is a remake of the 1952 classic film of the same name, directed by Vijay Bhatt and featuring Bharat Bhushan and Meena Kumari. The original film was a musical success and bagged two Filmfare Awards for Best Music Director (Naushad) and Best Singer (Mohammad Rafi).

Shah Rukh is not Considering Inshallah from Bhansali There were also reports in Pinkvilla suggesting that Shah Rukh might take on the lead role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah, a film that Salman Khan had previously walked out of due to differences with the director. The film is a mature love story set across two continents. However, a source close to SRK’s production house, who wished to remain anonymous, stated that Shah Rukh’s next project will be an action film. He is currently not interested in any drama films, including Inshallah. Therefore, any news to the contrary is false.
