Tamannaah Bhatia is all set to join Sidharth Malhotra in the much-anticipated folk thriller VVAN: Force of the Forest. The announcement was made exclusively by Pinkvilla, following Sidharth’s reveal during Chhath Pooja 2024. Produced by Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, the film is expected to begin filming in June 2025.
A Unique VVAN Folk Thriller
Described as a folk thriller, VVAN promises to bring a unique cultural narrative to the big screen. Set in the heart of India, the film will feature a story deeply rooted in mythology, with Tamannaah Bhatia stepping into a world of cultural storytelling.
The actress, who has been on a signing spree with major projects like Ranger, Rakesh Maria Biopic, and No Entry 2, is excited to delve into her role. To prepare, she will undergo diction training alongside Sidharth Malhotra, as her character is set in a central Indian context.

Release and Production Details
The film is currently targeting a Chhath 2025 release, aligning with its cultural themes. The makers are already in pre-production, scouting real forest locations to capture the essence of the story. The shoot for VVAN will take place in real forest areas, with a significant portion of the film set within this natural backdrop.
Sidharth Malhotra’s Busy Schedule
While Sidharth Malhotra leads VVAN, he’s also juggling a packed schedule with other exciting ventures. Apart from VVAN, he’s slated for Race 4 alongside Saif Ali Khan, a comedy directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, and is in talks for a film with Saran Sharma under Karan Johar’s production.
